United Way

AIDS Outreach Center was the first AIDS Service Organization in Texas to be a member of it's local United Way. As such, United Way plays a vital role in the success of client services and programs. When asked to be a member of your United Way Campaign - say YES! And please be sure that your donation is designated to go to AOC.

Many of Fort Worth's and Tarrant County's major employers have in place a matching gift program. This program can double the gift you make to AOC. The next time you make a donation to AOC, please check with your employer's HR department to see if they have a matching gift program and ask them to match your gift. It's easy! It's fast! Make A Difference

Event Sponsorship

AOC encourages your partnership in helping sponsor one or more of our great annual special events. This is a great way for a company or Corporation to show it's support of our mission to the greater community. Please contact the AOC Development & Marketing Department at 817-335-1994, ext. 224 for additional information on events and sponsorship levels.

Gifts In-Kind

AOC is in constant need of donated food items and individual hygiene items for our clients that shop the AOC Nutrition Center. Holiday gift items and gift wrap materials are always welcome during the holiday season. If you, your company or organization need further information, please contact the AOC Development & Marketing Department at 817-335-1994, ext. 256 for additional information.

Planned Giving

Whether supported through a donation or planned gift, all AOC programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of people like you. A planned gift to AIDS Outreach Center helps ensure the success of services and programs we provide the community. Planned gifts to AOC can be arranged through the services of your estate planning professional in the form of a will, trust, or even simply designating AOC as the beneficiary for your life insurance policy, 401k, and other accounts.

Volunteer

Volunteer Orientation Process

AOC offers two volunteer orientation sessions. Individuals interested in volunteering with AOC can come to a morning orientation at 9:00 am on the first Wednesday of the month or to an afternoon orientation at 3:30 pm on the third Wednesday of the month. The program lasts an hour and a half and is intended to provide an understanding of the barriers our neighbors living with HIV face, what AOC does to help them overcome those barriers, and the history of HIV/AIDS as it relates to AOC. It also covers, in detail, the various volunteer opportunities available (listed briefly below).

During the last thirty minutes of the orientation, interested individuals will complete a paper application, a brief face-to-face interview, and a background check. AOC’s ability to place volunteers in an ongoing position will depend on the needs and availability of the agency at the time. Volunteer opportunities at AOC may not be ideal for someone seeking to complete numerous community service hours within a brief period of time.

If you would like to RSVP for the next volunteer orientation session, please email volunteer@aoc.org.
