TRANSPORTATION UPDATE
Effective November 1, 2023
Due to a reduction in funding, AOC has made changes to its transportation program.
Clients must have semi-annual and annual recertification completed to receive transportation services. Clients cannot be expired when requesting transportation services. Transportation services will be denied to ALL clients who are expired. This includes gas cards as well.
Clients who have Medicaid will have to utilize Medicaid transportation services. Please contact Modivcare (855)687-3255 48 hours in advance for transportation request. We will no longer provide gas cards for clients who have Medicaid.
Gas cards are now $10 regardless of where you live. There is a limited quantity of gas cards available per month. Gas cards are on a first come first serve basis. We will no longer give gas cards for back dated appointments. Gas cards will be issued for current appointments. Please provide proof of appointment, or request will be denied.
Parker and Palo Pinto counties will need to utilize Public Transit Services. Please contact (940) 328-1391 48 hours in advance for transportation request.
Uber rides will now have a monthly cap which means the number of rides will now be limited. Unfortunately, once the limit has been reached other transportation options should be utilized.
